CANDIDATE PROFILE

Brother Wayne Kimball, Jr. is an experienced global business professional specializing in Enterprise Strategy and Transformation, with corporate and non-profit board experience. He is a proven strategist known for innovating at the cross-section of People, Process and Profit. A strategic thought leader with keen emotional intelligence, Bro. Kimball challenges the status quo, while working in the best interest of the people and the organization.

Bro. Kimball has extensive experience leading and executing complex,multifunctional projects across global boundaries; from operating model design and revenue growth strategy to M&A integrations and technology implementations. His varied background, academically and professionally, lends itself to providing impact and driving value to the top and bottom line, and among the employee ranks and within the community.

Strategy & Operations

  • Launched and branded new business units within the ActOne Group, and expanded reach by opening new offices, and campus locations in partnership with various higher education institution
  • Led fundraising efforts for capital campaign as Vice Chair of the NC A&T State University Alumni Board of Directors and Chair of the Resource Development and Student Engagement Committees, and served on the University Board of Trustees
  • Lead Governance Committee and served on the Strategic Planning Committee as member of the Board of Directors for Christel House Schools, an international charter network with locations in the United States, Mexico, South Africa, India and Jamaica
  • Led Growth and Sustainability Committee of McCarty Memorial Christian Church; developed a Strategic Plan and Capital Campaign, and new Church Bylaws

Outreach & Fundraising

  • Led Marketing efforts for the inaugural John H. Johnson Alphapreneur Pitch Experience at the 2019 Alpha Phi Alpha General Convention in Las Vegas, NV – 7 contestants, $16K in cash prizes and over 250 in attendance
  • Organized the second annual Career Connections Job Fair at the 2018 Alpha Phi Alpha Midwestern Region Convention in Indianapolis, IN, resulting in 16 corporate sponsors raising $12K, and over 200 attendees with multiple jobs offered
  • Helped grow Accelerate with Google Apps by developing strategic partnerships with HBCUs and minority organizations, including Alpha Phi Alpha
  • Secured Google and Wells Fargo as corporate sponsors and workshop facilitators for the 2012 and 2013 Alpha Phi Alpha Western Region Conventions in Las Vegas, NV and Denver, CO, respectively

Objectives

  • Support our college brothers with an intentional focus on college chapter growth to secure our collegiate foundation through meaningful chapter programming, communications, personal and professional development
  • Invest in local communities and schools across the region to provide access, exposure and opportunity through enhanced educational partnerships
  • Leverage the Alpha brand and it’s collective influence to be the voice and advocate for social justice and economic development to meet the societal needs in our communities

REVITALIZE

Objectives

  • Examine existing infrastructure and current resources, and enhance our financial strength by developing new revenue streams and diversifying our fiscal portfolio to minimize dependency on membership intake
  • Drive growth and sustainability by establishing meaningful strategic partnerships with corporations and other non-profit organizations
  • Serve as a voice for Alpha West to drive and support the national and international agenda, and continuously evolve our internal and external infrastructure
  • Create avenues for members to provide continuous feedback to enable Alpha West to strengthen and better serve our membership.

Empower

Objectives

  • Foster an environment that is inclusive, supportive, and encourages every brother through investments in our local chapters
  • Increase reclamation through purposeful training, meaningful fellowship, and synergistic entrepreneurial opportunities and business partnerships
  • Leverage technology to better connect brothers across the region, and provide access to professional development and employment opportunities
